The Gentle Seduction by Marc Stiegler is a novelist take on singularity.  Headbands, nanobots, rejuvenation, immortality and all the ingredients of the myth created by Vernor Vinge are introduced step by step in the life of the main character.

Each technological breakthrough brings up question and worries, until she tries it herself (“And then, it just didn’t seem to matter) and is “gently seduced”.
