Amazon warehouses are automated to a large extent, thanks to a little robot named Kiva.

Interestingly enough, running the warehouses still requires human workers . Their work conditions have been known as strenuous and have been subject to much controversy and stories. Which may be the reason why Amazon is trying to automate even more of the process.
